Bike expedition - July 02 - Chelyabinsk

The bike Expedition «Gospel to the nations of the world» found new friends, devoted and called to the Gospel cause. Looking at the bikers, I wonder at their endurance. There is only one professional biker among them. Our bikers are heroes. They are heroes in the sport records and heroes of faith. Despite their tiredness they take active part in evangelistic activities every day. They are trustful friends and sincere Christians.

Not only Christian men met us at the entrance to Chelyabinsk town but also a TV cameramen and journalists from one of the local TV Company. Finding out that we had with us many copies of the Living Water they asked us for a copy. We gave them the Bibles and they promised to read it daily. Girls-journalists interviewed us and came to know that we were an international team, which included Russians, Ukrainians, Osetians, Armenians, a Kabardinian man, a German and a Belarusian man. But all of us have double citizenship – Russian and Heavenly Jerusalem. Representatives of the TV company «31^st channel» were amazed at the fact that Vladimir Skovpen, the team leader, had 9 children and I have 6 kids, that we do not drink alcohol and are indifferent to worldly values. We departed with them in the church after an hour fellowship telling them about the saving grace.

The church worship service in the church «Evangelism» in Chelyabinsk town began at 18:00 p.m. and lasted for about 2 hours. We spoke about the importance of outreach and examples of our life. We saw tears in the eyes of many people. During a prayer over 30 people asked the Lord to forgive them for indifference and sloth in the Gospel preaching. Taking Christian books with them people left for home. We went to the office of the Union of ECB churches in Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions to stay there overnight. Tomorrow we will have to cover 280 km and we will meet Christians in Shumikha and Kurgan towns.
