Bike trip – July 12 - Barabinsk town

Barabinsk is the town with 30 thousand inhabitants. It is an administrative centre of Barabinsk district in Novosibirsk region. The town is located in the south-East of West-Siberian plain, on the left bank of the Om’ River, in 300 km to the West from Novosibirsk.

We arrived at Barabinsk on the 12th of July at 14:07. Men from Novosibirsk church met us. The church authorized them to organize evangelistic meeting. After a 10-minute drive along town streets the car with local men stop abruptly, which was very dangerous for bikers, who wheeled in 50-60 centimeters from the car. Guennady had to put on the breaks and escaped the clash. But bikers were unable to stop so suddenly. But thanks to low speed the clash was light and bikers got a bit scared and that was all. Two minutes later we forgot about the incident.

After lunch bikers went to the sauna. Others stayed in the church yard and prayed for the evangelization. At 17:30 p.m. during the rehearsal our girls met the only one problem that evening. A lady, whose face told us that she had drunk too much, threw an egg at the girls, but failed to hit the goal. Perhaps it was the only one egg in that flat. And the “bombardment” stopped and never resumed. The “fighter” against “sectarians” was afraid to throw empty bottles at us, as this is a criminal act. We prayed all together for the evangelization. I said with assuredness that at least one person would receive the Lord at the meeting.

On the 12th of July 2007, 5 persons received the Lord. One on them is a 23-year-old Aliona. She is a single lady, whom no one needs. She had a daughter. She smokes a lot and drinks some alcohol, as all her acquaintances do. She heard the Gospel news at the age of 14, but did not decide to live according to the Gospel. After prayer Aliona decided to become a real Christian, and attend the church regularly.
