Bike trip – August 3 – Khilok town, Chita region

A new point for the visit of the Expedition was Khilok town. It was not difficult for the members of the Expedition to reach it. There was a little rain. Bikers became accustomed to mountainous roads. Climbs were not so very high as before.

Khilok is a railroad junction at the Trans-Siberian railroad. Most of its inhabitants work there. There is no ECB church. There is only one Christian man there – Alexander. He received the Expedition and got permission from the town Administration for the evangelistic meeting, which was held by the Administrative office of the town. Many people were ready to listen to the Gospel news. There are practically no cultural centres in the town, that s why the visit of evangelists and musicians became a special event for the inhabitants of the town.

Kids who attended the meeting not only took part in the program, but decided to know the wishes of the members of the bike trip and asked Christians to put them down on the covers of the NTs, which they received.

 

Some adults followed examples of kids and were exhorted in the faith.
