Bike trip – August 15 – Amazar village

The way which expects us to Amazar is 104-kilometers-long. After breakfast we started at 8.00 a.m. We are not already surprised by the road covered with gravel plus dust. Bikers go first and KAMAZ is the last.

Each time we see a cloud of dust before we know those are car-deliverers. Our truck KAMAZ then goes to the front line and forces them to stop. Most of car-deliverers go slower, except some rare cases. God preserves us according to prayers of His saints.

Sergey and Alexei went forward to the village to meet the Administration and to discuss an opportunity of evangelization and shelter for night. Our trip makes us again and again certain that our Heavenly Father cares for us and prepares the way for us.

We are to cover the rest of 20 km. We met our brothers Sergey and Alexei who told us that Administration gave consent for the meeting and that they found a shelter for the night. Workers, who build the road, have a hotel and they gave us available rooms free.

By the village of Amazar there is a river with clear water. We had some time before the beginning of the evening meeting and we went to the river. After 8 hours along a dusty road we were happy to swim in clear water.

The population in Amazar is about 4 thousand people.

Our men as usual went along all village streets and invited people to the meeting. About 60 adult people came and very many kids.

We began our meeting at 19:00 p.m. Many young people came. So young members of the Expedition shared their testimonies – Yuri and Levon, Edward sang and also shared his testimony. Then three young men from our team sang a Christian song about Russia. Boris, Yuri and Pavel sang this song rather well. Yuri Volzhankin sings well and he is a good biker, and besides he is very skilful in managing our sound equipment. It demands attention and does not always want to work well. But Yuri knows the secrets how to improve the equipment each time.

We prayed for the meeting and God helped us.

It is amazing that in places where there are no churches of our Brotherhood the doors for outreach are open for us. As we do not have an opportunity of informing people beforehand still people come and attend the meetings and then talk for a while to the members of the Expedition.

We gave out last NTs which we had with us in Amazar. We have only the Bible with us. We hope God will replenish this lack.

Kate and Marina are perfect in their work with children. We can not cope with adults such skillfully as they do with kids. Cheerful voices of kids and their enthusiasm inspire all members of the Expedition.
